Pyromancer Guide – 2.2

Pyromancer was once a DPS soul that performed well, but not as well as a Warlock.

Then the 2.2 hotifxes came. Pyro received some significant damage increases, extreme burst and much needed mobility. Instead of being that soul where standing still was the purpose, new changes were introduced, including the ability to move whilst casting Flame Volley, Glyphs of Power no longer suffering from movement and Extinguish on a much reduced (and needed!) cooldown. Other significant changes to Pyro included Inferno now being active from 40% onward, and the newest ability, Flame Rupture.

In the following guide I will talk about abilities, managing Charge, priorities, some rotations and of course, maths.

Spec:

5 Harbinger:

  • 5/5 Eldritch Knowledge
You can’t really go wrong with 10% more Spell Power! Depending on your Spell Power, this is probably the best option for you, as it also includes Lightning Blade, which is explained below.

10 Archon:

  • 5/5 Soulfire
5% More damage dealt is a huge plus. Alongside the Archon’s gift, which awards 1% bonus damage per point spent, you are in fact giving yourself 10% more damage in total.

61 Assassin / 10 Marksman / 5 Nightblade

This spec is designed for RIFT 2.0+ and last updated for RIFT 2.2 Raiding/PVE.

The spec: 61 Assassin / 10 Marksman / 5 Nightblade

There is another build that floats around and that you may come across, 61 Assassin / 9 Marksman / 6 Ranger but that build is not as good and this one will be ahead in the end when done properly.

If you have not played a melee spec or assassin before, carefully read through everything especially all of the information I have said under the rotation.

If you have any questions about anything below feel free to make a comment and I will reply to you as soon as possible. I will continue to update this guide over time, rather it be rewording or adding more information, tips and so forth. There is a lot of information already here, and there might be slightly more somewhere that could be added.…

61 Bard / 10 Marksman / 5 Riftstalker

The build: 61 Bard / 10 Marksman / 5 Riftstalker
Alternative build: 61 Bard / 10 Marksman / 5 Nightblade

If you choose to use the alternative build, you will lose Planebound Resilience which is an endurance buff and Shadow Shift. This is a pretty big loss due to the more survivability you will get with more endurance and Bard’s are great support so you want to stay alive especially if you are lose on endurance and for specific raid fights such as Regulos or Crucia.

This is a pretty decent quick walkthrough to Bard to the few or none out there or as detailed. I may update this overtime with even much more information such as more details on what buffs or buffs do not stack then already mentioned or of course, if anything changes from patches and what not else. I also on rare occasion bard, so I almost never do.

I recommend finding out, some of what I have actually listed below as far as Coda’s go, on what buffs and debuffs do not stack with others if you are new to bard or your guild wants you to learn how to better or become a better bard.…

48 Nightblade / 28 Riftstalker

This is my variation of the Nightblade and Riftstalker combination that was wildly popular months ago and is sometimes still used today. I still prefer to use full Assassin, Marksman or Tactician AOE Hybrid for PVP though. But there are times you just want to play something different too so this might just be that for you too.

The build: 48 Nightblade / 28 Riftstalker / 0 Marksman
I chose 0 Marksman to get On The Double rather than 0 Saboteur for Adhesive Bomb. You will get Swift Shot as well with Marksman but I do not use it, doubt you will either.…

40 Nightblade / 36 Riftstalker “PVP Tank”

The build: 40 Nightblade / 36 Riftstalker / 0 Saboteur

The reason I went with 40 Nightblade instead of 40 Riftstalker is because of Twilight Transcendance, in my opinion, being much better in PVP over Defer Death (40 point ability) in Riftstalker.

This is a great build, possibly as good as it can get, for carrying stones back as a Rogue in Escalation: Whitefall Steppes without dying too quickly and not being able to use our teleports or run speed buffs. That is also another reason why there is not a point or two points into Hasted Time in Riftstalker. If you are looking for a way to get the Storm Thief achievement, this is one way of helping you get it much faster than other ways with or without a pocket healer(s).

This build is similiar to the 48 Nightblade / 28 Riftstalker build but with more endurance and another cooldown to utilize.…

61 Warden / 13 Sentinel / 2 Inquisitor – Raid healing

Echoing the soothing ebb and flow of the tides, Wardens specialize in slow healing that escalates over time, making them ideal for prolonged fights that would exhaust most healers.

Warden is a great raid healer for fights where a chloro can’t provide enough burst healing for certain mechanics (like Crucia, Goloch, and the current Hardmode encounters).
