Despite the hotfixes that have been released for Infernal Dawn, a lot of new issues have been popping up with the Maklamos encounter. My guild went to Maklamos earlier tonight and… jesus the Beams were just impossible to deal with after Tuesday’s Hotfix #5. We tried to go with the Heresy strat of the beam debuff but apparently we’re just not fast enough to log out! Perhaps we should have done a No Quarter and gone with the zerg instead!
It looks like we won’t be seeing any hotifx until next week. In fact, Decoy posted a few minutes ago that they would be disabling the Crystal Essences and Beams altogether until they can further assess the issue and then release a hotfix then.
Due to ongoing issues and difficulty tracking down problems with players becoming unable to “solve” the Crystal Essences, I’ve gone ahead and disabled the entire mechanic until further notice. I’m expecting to turn them back on with a hotfix next week, pending QA results on our most recent (and believe me, there’s been quite a few) revisions to making this mechanic ALWAYS, PROPERLY function as expected/intended.
I’d also like to apologize to all players who have been inconvenienced and annoyed by issues with this mechanic.
